The Benanti family has been producing wine out of passion in Viagrande on Mount Etna in Sicily since 1734.

In 1988 the company was formally founded by Giuseppe Benanti (1945-2023), an ambitious and passionate man who hired a local winemaker and also sought the assistance of oenology consultants from world-renowned wine regions (Burgundy and Langhe).

Giuseppe has led the winery for 25 years, greatly contributing to the development and growth of the entire region. In 2013 Antonio and Salvino Benanti took over from their father Giuseppe, sharing the same vision, dreams and passion.

Today Benanti is the only winery with vineyards on every side of Etna DOC.
