Cantine Scudero is a new family-run winery located on the eastern slope of Mount Etna, at an altitude of 390 meters above sea level. Thanks to the unique combination of volcanic terroir and an ideal microclimate, our wines are distinguished by remarkable minerality and complexity.
Descendants of the noble Scudero family, Martino and Carlo Scudero launched a project in 2016 to renew the family estate while preserving its long winemaking tradition. The property remains exactly the same, but has been made increasingly welcoming to meet the growing demand for tours and tastings. For visitors, Cantine Scudero offers a truly authentic and unique experience — an immersion in the heart of Etna and its winemaking heritage.

Wines and Production Our production is intentionally limited to around 7,300 bottles per year, divided among four signature wines:
• AliAde: Catarratto IGT Terre Siciliane: an elegant and fresh white wine that expresses the purity of this native Sicilian grape.
• Cantata: Sauvignon Blanc IGT Terre Siciliane: the only bottled Sauvignon Blanc produced on Mount Etna.
• Sedicidieci: Catarratto and Sauvignon Blanc Blend, IGT Terre Siciliane: a unique blend that combines freshness with aromatic intensity.
• Pittimusa: Rosé of Nerello Mascalese, IGT Terre Siciliane: fresh and mineral, showcasing the versatility of Nerello Mascalese.

We also produce two exclusive limited-edition specialties:
• Grappa di Sauvignon Blanc, made from the pomace of our Sauvignon Blanc grapes, this elegant and aromatic grappa is limited to just 250 bottles.

• Passito di Sauvignon Blanc, an even rarer gem, produced in just 130 bottles. This exclusive and refined dessert wine is available for tasting only at the winery. It represents the highest expression of Sauvignon Blanc, with an intense concentration of aromas and flavors.

Our vineyards cover 2.8 hectares, three-quarters of which are planted with wine grapes, cultivated using methods that honor the land and preserve local biodiversity. The balance between traditional farming and modern techniques allows us to craft wines that fully express the soul of the Etna terroir.
