Aìtala

The Aitala Vini dell’Etna vinery is a small family-run winery. Our vineyards are located at an altitude of 550 m above the sea level, on the northern slope of the Etna volcano, for a total of 3 hectares.

The Etna’s native kinds of grapes cultivated are Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante, Catarratto, Inzolia and Minnella and a plot of Syrah which is not native of this area. Total production is around 6000 bottles for the three kind of wines: DOC Etna Bianco, DOC Etna Rosso and DOC Sicilia Syrah. Wineyard and cellar are conducted with the organic farming method certified by ECOGRUPPO Italia srl.

Our welcoming to visitors consists on a tasting of the wine variets and explations about Sicily and wine farming in Sicily, a complete tour of our cellar and our wine yard of our guests desire it
